My roots are in the '90s UK rave scene, shaped by two decades of living in New Zealand - The DiCE sound is normally a blend of Soul, Funk, Disco & House...or anything with a funky groove. My DJ sets blend decades of curated music, spinning both vinyl and digital, heavily featuring my own exclusive edits and remixes

Over the years, I’ve shared the booth with global legends like Dave Lee (Joey Negro), Crazy P, Fred Falke, Sandy Rivera and Michael Gray. I play anything from deep club sets and festival stages including Aum, NZ Spirit, Deep Hard N Funky, and Sanctuary Sounds to all day sets at picturesque wineries & boutique events. I also host the NYE-E parties, bringing legendary international acts to New Zealand

A DJ since last century, it was moving to Auckland in 2005 that sparked a shift in my musical direction, with a five-year residency at the infamous Supper Club, winning the GeorgeFM DJ Competition, and hosting the Deep Hard N Funky show on GeorgeFM. I later moved to BaseFM, and guest on Auckland’s Planet Sauce radio, and regularly DJ in Auckland and around NZ

I started producing music in the early 2000's, and have hundreds of original tracks, remixes, and edits under my belt, including official work for local icons like Fat Freddy’s Drop, The Black Seeds, and House of Downtown. Releasing music mainly as DiCE_NZ, my work sits on labels including Universal Music, Discoholics Anonymous, Hot Digits, Electric Friends Music, and TooSlowToDisco, alongside my own imprint, Hot Jandal Music. DiCE_NZ music gets regular international airplay including on BBC’s Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show and Mi-Soul Radio as well as NZ TV & radio. Local highlights include the Aotearoa Edits series, which reimagines classic Kiwi gems, and having a track close out a Christmas cliffhanger episode of Shortland Street!
